This week, I have figured out which medicinal plants to study for my project. I was thinking about Belladonna. It is poisonous (deadly nightshade), but there are medical uses with extraction. I am still reading some of the articles Josh sent me. I read one about the history of medical plants going back to the Egyptians, Chinese, Greeks, Romans, and Indian ayurvedic history. The Ebers papyrus and De Materia Medica. These are some of the earliest texts that tell us about medicinal plants. I also completed the responsible conduct in the research module this week. Overall, it has been a good birthday.
