I am so glad that I could make it to the lab. I showed up a couple of times last week, and I will start my regular schedule this week. You may have noticed that my research proposal differs slightly from the previous post. Still, I also look forward to learning more about and experimenting with the Gene Jet plant RNA Purification Mini Kit. All the materials were gathered today, and the experiment will start soon. Tomatoes were considered, but now we will use desert plants instead. After we use the desert plant, it can be compared to the same experiment in the summer to see if the seasons affect the accuracy or results of the RNA purification. In previous posts, I called it DNA extraction when it is RNA purification, but either way, I am looking forward to learning more and seeing how accurately we can get the results. I know they won't be perfect, but seeing the differences in the trials will be interesting.
